A Wi-Fi HOT SPOT enables your guests and customers to connect to a broadband internet connection for a low charge. 

This service combines the resources of your Broad Band connection, an international Wi-Fi company and us, your local installer supplier.

When your customer connects their Laptop to the Wi-Fi HOTSPOT their internet web browser (e.g. “Internet Explorer” or “Mozilla Firefox” or “Opera”) is re-directed to a welcome page where they can sign up and enter details to purchase access time.

The Wi-Fi HOTSPOT is specially configured just for your premises and location.

Q. How much will this cost me?

A. If you already have a Broad Band connection and a ‘Router’ all that is needed is the Wi-Fi HOTSPOT box for a one off charge of £250 for a single access point. If you want to extend the coverage then more equipment may be needed. There are no on-going costs unless you request additional services or equipment.

Q. How much money can I earn?

A. HOTSPOTs are primarily an amenity for your customers just as you provide 'en-suite' facilities and other services and amenities. However this amenity can generate revenue. How much depends on the type of guests and customers you have and how many of them will want to use the service. If you have business customers it is more likely to generate good revenues. You can decide what rates you want to charge (within reasonable limits but suggest you start with the default settings).

Q. Why can’t I just let my customers use my existing wireless access?

A. Like all security issues this is a matter of assessing the risks and there are many aspects to this. For example it is a good starting point to consider what information you hold on your own computers (e.g. Banking; Accounts Personal Details) and what access to them may lead to. Also, it is well known that people use the internet for criminal activities and without detailed logs of users you may find charges difficult to disprove if a trail leads back to your account. This system is separate to your own computers even though it uses your Broad Band connection.

Q. What if I don’t already have Broad Band or a router?

A.  We can sort that out for you but it is not included in the price

Q. How much time will managing this ‘system’ take me?

A. Unlike others systems this is almost entirely management free. Other than making your clients aware of the service no maintenance is required by you. Posters are provided promoting the service. The system is normally ‘always on’ and your guests can use it as suits them.

Q. What languages are available?

A. Currently English, German, Spanish, Hungarian and soon to be added Portuguese, Italian, French, Croatian, Slovakian, Polish, Romanian, Russian

Q. I want to make the service free to my customers but want the benefits of the system, can I do this?

A. Yes, but there is a fee.
